We created a visual universe that showcased Mina in a classic jazz singer performance, however her stage is not a single venue – it’s the world around her. She’s portrayed “on stage” in nature and indoors, addressing the audience directly, illuminated by stage light and the storytelling in the film is a mix of moods that play within this universe. The performances are mixed with elements of magical realism, that play out in small scenes. These scenes touch upon themes like being in the moment, making sense of the world, and life’s journey itself.
